Saturday @IKEA

IKEA seems to be a nice place to waste my time while waiting for 'berbuka'. Plus, the kids love IKEA. I'm keen of purchasing few of the items but yet it is still not the right time since my new home is still in process of repairing some minor defects.

There are few items which really caught my attention. Those items are;
a) Art Paint no 1: RM599.00
b) Art Paint no.2: RM499.00
c) Kitchen Down Light: RM219.00
d) Wall Mirror: RM129.00
Total: RM1446.00.........

Haiyaaaa...RM1446.00...Kalau bonus masuk kira ok la...kalu tak...keep on dreaming la jawabnya...

My Axes Collection

Let me introduce to my 4 axes. From left to right Miss Pearly, Mr.Beast, Miss Whammy and Mr.Woody. All 4 are my latest collection or should I say my ultimate collection.

Miss Pearly is my standard american fender. She's the eldest of all and has been my training companion through out the day. While Miss Whammy is an Indonesian Ibanez. I bought this Ibanez via mudah.com in 2010 and equipped with custome accesories i.e gold nuts and bridge. At a glimpse she looks like one of those Jem series except it comes without the handle bar.

Mr.Woody is totally a custome handcraft made guitar which has been made by a friend of mine in Yogjakarta. It was designed based on Charvel models. For me, Mr.Woody was made with a mahogany body and maple neck. I consider him as my exotic companion in the studio. Trust me, you could feel the natural wood once you touch it. He is a natural wood without putting any glossy stuff on it.

Mr.Beast is my latest collection. It was designed based on Ernie Ball Musicman Axis model. I customized it by putting a tone knob and the pick-up selector has been put on upper of the body. Frankly I tried to combine Axis and wolfgang all together. In other words, I'm a big fan of Eddie Van Halen. Beast also has been handcrafted by a friend of mine in Yogjakarta, Mr.Tri Kuncoro. Trust me, Tri Kuncoro knows his own work.

Some might ask me on why I wasted my money on guitars. And my answer is; It is only 4 guitars and there are trillions of songs to be played!!

First Ramadhan 1433: Langkawi....

Here I am celebrating my first fasting day in Langkawi. Everybody loves Langkawi Island but as for me, Langkawi is part of my home town. Therefore, I'm not to excited about it. Furthermore, I have few family matters to be settled and trust me, these matters ain't gonna make the trip interesting.

Joining the trip are my wife and sister. We took the 9.00am ferry all the way from Kuala Perlis. I'll be damned!! The ticket is RM18.00 per pax whereby it was only RM8.00 10 to 20 years ago. I guess now days, price got higher instead of lower. Plus the cost of living increased and Langkawi now days are freaking different all the way back in the 80's.

It was a 45mins - 1 hour trip from Kuala Perlis to Langkawi. They put up a movie in the ferry but with the noise from the engine made me not in a good mood to watch em'.And the best thing to do in a Ramadhan like this is to turn on the sleep mode and zzzzzzzzzzz's.

 Yup...We are in Langkawi...during Ramadhan....

Pak Long nak shopping pinggan mangkuk nihhh..sampai juling bijik mata!!

Trying out the KIA FORTE

Among the best part in Langkawi is you got to rent various new cars. As for today I'm trying out this KIA FORTE. Actually....We only have the money to rent KIA FORTE...tapi jadi la...It cost us RM50 to rent it per day. Frankly, KIA has improved damn a lot and you see the technology evolved in KIA.

 Fuhh...abang long ada gaya laaa...

HOME DECOR @RAMS,KUAH LANGKAWI

And if you are looking for a home decor items with a really cheap price, don't hesitate to visit RAMS in Kuah, Langkawi. I don't intend to comment more about this place since it doesn't suit me well. But at least Langkawi has something to offer for home decor lovers.

My Latest Guitar Picks......the 3 tiny devils!

This tiny winnie picks is truly hard to resist. I truly admiring the designs eventhou it's 0.80mm and it ain't hard enough And trust me this little devils cost me about RM3.00per piece.

I might not use this picks since they are to cute to be used and I just intend to stick it at one of my main axe.

Surprisingly, I've been carrying picks in my wallet for the last 20years. Maybe I'm one of the guitar freaks.

RENO WORKS Phase 1: Buiding up the wall

I've been busy all day since last 2 weekends(after IJM granted us the house key) and alhamdulillah I'm getting the wall up  for my new home. I'm confused whether I'm too excited or I'm just throwing away my savings but somehow the work for renovations still need to be done. What I'm afraid at the moment is the local authorities might issue a summon for not getting a permit on the matter. I'll be submitting the permit application by early next week and hopefully to get the approval by end of next week. For permit itself will cost me RM229.00(whereby RM120 will be refunded back) and another RM100.00 for the runner on ensuring the permit being issued.

The wall on my left side is 80% completed since it was done by my neighbour and my goodness I have save a lot of money for his favor. All I need is to complete my right side wall with the same design. This cost me only RM1,000.00 by using the same contractor.

Somehow, the construction might delay due to rainy causes but yet I'm putting the hope that it will be completed by early next week. To be continued.........

The Beast Finally Arrived

After one month of waiting for my new guitar being constructed in Indonesia, finally my guitar has arrived in KLIA. I've collected it at KLAS KARGO just nearby LCTT last Saturday. Trust me or not, I do the custom clearance by myself and it only took me nearly 2 hours. Frankly speaking. This is my second time collecting my axe at the KLAS KARGO. I might do some posting on how to do the clearance at the custom..might be useful for you guys out there!!

Once I opened up the packaging...Wow!!! Exactly as I asked Mr.Tri Kuncoro to construct. And it is a fine construction and look exactly as I wish for.

This is the 2nd time Mr.Tri Kuncoro customized my guitar. You can view my first guitar at the beginning of my blog. Overall I have this satisfaction on the work done by Tri Kuncoro from ODX Custom.

Actually I'm fond of having the Ernieball musicman EVH version plus the axis model. Then, I'm in love with Ernieball wolfgang and also the latest wolfgang from Fender. At the end I'm in love with what Eddy Van Halen touches. Therefore, I'm combining all together in one guitar. And here it is!!!!

Later on, I 'll be updating you guys on how this guy constructed my Ernie Ball Musicman Axis.

As for now....let the BEAST ROARRRRRRR!!!!

Moving to new office.......

Finally our MD has made her decision, and we have made ourselves moved into our new office. Compared to the previous office, this one is totally large with plenty of rooms. The view is amazing whereby you could see the KLCC. Personally, I think moving to this new premise is a wise choice since our company planned for a greater promising future.

On positive side, it gives the customer a great image on our company. Plus, we are in Oil & Gas company. Therefore, a more corporate image to be displayed to our potential customers. Just for info, we have explored more than 33 countries and absolutely we deserve all these!

As for me.....Big office means bigger responsibilities.....aiyakkkkkkkk!!!

12/4/2012: Kota Kinabalu...Heaven On Earth(re-posted)

Arrived yesterday roughly at 9.30am after a nearly 2 1/2half hours of flight from KLIA. Surely it was a bored flight but luckly Malaysian Airlines provide us a pleasant breakfast.

This is my 2nd visit to Sabah. My last visit was roughly 8years ago and I am quit impressed with the development within the short years.

10minutes ride by cab in order for us to reach Promenade Hotel from the airport. The cab cost us only rm30. We are lucky to get a room with a tremendous view(room 725).

We  skipped our lunch just to wait for the food bazaar to open at 5pm. The food bazaar is located just near the Philipine Bazaar which will only take you 10minutes of walking.

At the food bazaar, I just realized that Sabah is such a heaven for seafood lovers. And frankly speaking it is much cheaper...way lot cheaper than KL.. I won't mention about the seafood but I'm letting the pictures to tell the story!

Here I am choosing the fresh seafood just to enjoy our great late lunch..thumbs up....!!!.Seafood heaven...!!!

Signing off all the way from Sabah....

Live in Concert:30th Anniversary (Re-Posted)

Last Sunday night 17th December 2011 was truly awesome! Search celebrates their 30thAnniversary by giving the fans a non-stop 3hours of full blast. I guess it is a wise option to change the previous location from Padang Astaka to MIECC. RM69 per head is considered worth with tremendous sound and lighting system plus a free t-shirt. The floor was in total red carpet. And the best of all, free drinks are available for all the fans. I guess there were at least 6 big screens provided for the fans. On the stage, you could see Marshall and Mesa Boogie in line ready for action.

We arrived at MIECC roughly at 7.15pm and been welcomed greatly by Define beautiful models. At the time, Koffin Kanser, a local band was performing with a tight full riffing music blast. The lead man, Aru who I considered as an ‘otai’ in the industry should be credited for his growl voice. Somehow, their performance reminded me of Sepultura/Soulfly.

Search took stage by having Yazid on drum solos as an opening. Yazid is one of the best drummers in Malaysia but on that night I guess he has established himself as the best drummer in the nation. I understood that he is under medication but the performance does prove otherwise.
I noticed that Nordin has been using his black Les Paul quit often lately. I guess American Les Paul has caught his heart just like Joe from Wings. And quit surprisingly that The Ryhthm Man of Malaysia has put out some solos during the concert. As for Nasir, the back bone of Search music came out with his new bass gear, Gibson Nikki Sixx Thunder Bird IV (Nikki Sixx was from Motley Crue I guess….). As usual his performance was cool in order to maintain the beat and groove.

For Hamzah Md Taib also known as Kid, he has defined what rock n roll is all about. His attire reminds me of the 80’s glam-rock band Earthshaker & Loudness. Frankly, this is all about rock n roll stuffs and he managed to translate it perfectly. Equipped by his red Peavey Wolfgang plus a cigarette at his mouth, he rocked the night.
The front man, Amy as usual always had been the lead man for the band. It takes high spirit and high stamina to perform a 3 hours of show. Amy has improved a lot in communication with the fans.
They've performed at least 25 songs on the night. Most of the songs are my personal favorites. As I mentioned just now, the sound system are truly awesome and the lighting are the best. I have attended Search concert for the fifth time and this concert was the best of all.
Personally, you guys(Search) are the best!! And I'm truly honored to be part of the history.

Finally Arrived: My very own customized guitar(re-posted)

Frankly speaking, I intended to buy a guitar that really suits me in terms of specifications, design and playing wise. But somehow, in order to fulfill my requirements, it might cost me in terms of the pricing. Therefore, I have made my choice and I decided to go for a customized guitar. Custom guitar might caused a very high price especially when you order directly fromUnited States. On pricing matters, it have been giving me quit a headache after 'googling' for a better price from the US.

A friend suggested that I should try out the guitar suppliers from Indonesia. I've tried to seek out few manufacturers which I met via facebook. Somehow, few of them already has an agent in Malaysia whereby all orders must go directly to their agents. Using an agent might secure your ordered items but the price might be slight higher than direct purchase.
My search came to the end when I finally met ODX CUSTOM also via facebook. He quoted me the best price after submitting my axe specifications. Since then, I have been communicating with Mr. Tri Kuncoro (the owner) only via facebook. All payment were made via WESTERN UNION. My first payment was 50% upon order and I proceed from time to time with progress payment. The progress for the production of my guitar were being updated from time to time via facebook. Frankly speaking, all communications are via facebook!. Less than 1 month, my guitar completed and it took only one day for him to send the guitar via plane. All I need to do is to clear and retrieve the item from the airport.
And as a satisfied customer, I'm looking forward for my second custom guitar. As for me, ODX CUSTOM has done the very best.
